Senior Deployment Support Engineer
Middlesex
£27k-£33k dependent on experience
Our client in the telecommunications industry is searching for a Senior Deployment Engineer. Should have at least 3 yrs experience in a customer support role with a proven record of trouble shooting. Experience of UNIX and Oracle and databases is essential with a working knowledge of Windows. Capable of writing UNIX shell scripts * VB scripts * DOS scripts. Basic knowledge of TCP*IP is required in addition to a basic knowledge of SQL. Knowledge of software*system deployment and customisation required, ideally in a cellular environment (ROC). Should be confident with preparing training material, providing demos and training customers. Willingness to travel on a regular basis. Energetic, self-starter and team player who works to tight deadlines. Their objective will be to become one of the company system experts. So candidates will have to understand the company product in detail and is able to apply this knowledge to provide a first class service to all the company’s customers. Language: Should have excellent communication skills and command of the English language. Working knowledge of French is an advantage.
